Frequently Asked Questions
What does iron do to my vehicle?
-Iron can be collected and accumulated on your vehicle while
driving down the highway or even parked. Our breaks omit a dust
that can gather on paint and make your clear coat vulnerable to
destruction.
Left untreated, iron deposits will eventually lead to rust.
-The image HERE illustrates the iron removal process.

Why are my tires brown when they haven't been in dirt? What is oxidation of the tires (blooming)?
-Antiozonant is a chemical put in your rubber tires to prevent them from drying and prematurely weathering. When the antiozonate is exposed to air it oxidizes and causes the tire to turn brown, which can lead to premature drying and cracking of the rubber. Regular cleaning and tire dressing keeps this chemical from being exposed. The result is a clean black appearance and prolonged integrity of the tire.

Wax vs Sealant. What do I choose? What is right for me?
-Wax is a natural organic substance. For instance, "Carnuba Wax" that you might be familiar with is derived primarily from the Palm Tree.
-An automotive sealant made up of synthetic ingredients called polymers. Chemically, these bond much better with your vehicles paint.
-Both are designed with color enhancement and paint protection in mind. Wax offers a more warm glow and, some argue, offers slightly better color richness to a sealant. Due to it being an organic matter, wax does not last as long as sealant. You should expect 6-8 weeks of life with a wax. Sealant on the other hand, with proper care, should last 6-7 months. Sealant also offers better paint protection vs a wax.

What is a ceramic coating?
-A Ceramic coating is a silica-based liquid polymer that bonds directly to your paints clear coat. It is applied by hand, leveled and then allowed to cure. Using a high quality ceramic, applied properly, and allowed to cure not only adds value to your vehicle but will last for years! This is more expensive and more difficult to apply but is the best value in regards to expense vs longevity.

Does a new vehicle really need to be Dialed-In?
-Absolutely! Any amount, great or small, you spent on those new wheels needs to be protected! A brand-new vehicle is a prime candidate for a ceramic coating or at the very least a polymer sealant/wax to protect it from contaminants and scratches. Fortunatly a new vehicle will only need a one stage polish before coating which saves you time and money in the long run. This will not only give you the best look and shine for the many years you will own it, but also helps protect its resale value for the future!

Is it too late to Dial-In my vehicle?
-Never! Depending on the age and exposure to the elements, a paint correction and protection may take a little more time but with patience and diligence to the correction process, most any vehicles paint can be restored to almost new condition!

What is paint correction?
-Paint correction is the process of leveling and removing fine
scratches caused by any number of things. Road debris,
leaning against your paint, dragging your hand across the paint,
just general everyday use can cause micro stratches in your
paint. The greatest culprit of micro scratches (swirls) are
automatic washes.

How long will a paint correction take?
-Great question, it depends on the independent condition of the vehicles paint. As a reference, a full Dialed-In Detail and sealant can be performed in a half days work (4-6 hours of labor). Whereas a vehicle requiring a multi-stage correction process might take multiple days, but we are happy to discuss the expectation before the work begins.

How long will my paint protection last?
-This depends on a few factors including which coating is chosen, level of exposured to the elements, and regular care to extend the life of the coating. As a reference, a simple wax coating is likely to protect for 2-3 months. A polymer sealant with a wax should be good for 6-9 months. The Gtechniq Ceramic coating we use has up to a 5 year protection expectancy! We generally like to perform a sealant at minimum to offer better longevity than a wax coating alone and better value for you! However a Ceramic coating, although more expensive initially, offers much greater paint protection and lasts up to 9 times as long!
